Alonza Benjamin Bumbry (born April 21, 1947 in Fredericksburg, Virginia) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who played for the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres from 1972 through 1985.
Bumbry was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round in 1968. He spent 13 of his 14 major-league seasons with the Orioles, and played for them in the 1979 and 1983 World Series. Bumbry was voted the American League Rookie of the Year in 1973 with the Orioles and was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1980. In 2002, he was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He served as the outfield/baserunning coach for the York Revolution in 2007.
