Parliament Square, London, United Kingdom Postcard
Parliament Square is a major London attraction. The green space at the northwest end of the Palace of Westminster is filled with statuary. Westminster Abbey, the Palace of Westminster (commonly known as the Houses of Parliament), and Big Ben are a few of the buildings surrounding the square. Monuments within the square are mostly statues of statesmen. The list of statues includes Winston Churchill, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Disraeli and Nelson Mandela. The square is also the site of numerous events ranging from the Virgin London Marathon to organized government protests.
