Green Diamond pattern vase CFG CL4 Hoosier Glass 8 in x 3.5 in Lot of 2
Vintage Floral Vases in the diamond pressed pattern from the 1970-80's. They are tinted in a deep emerald green color. Vases stand 8 inches tall and measure 3.5 inches across the top rim.
Hoosier Glass is art glass made by Indiana-based Syndicate Sales, a glass-blowing company that was active in Kokomo, Indiana, in the 1970 and '80s. It should not be confused with the current Hoosier Glass Company, which specializes in building materials. Hoosier Glass is a collectible and is noted for its distinctive pressed and cut patterns in vases. Indiana has a long history of manufacturing art glass, and boasts the Indiana Art Glass Trail, a network of workshops and galleries showcasing local glass. Some of the vases will be marked CFG as they were made for Continental Floral Greens, which were sold to florists for holding floral arrangements. This evaluation is based on the fact that many of these vases will be identical, yet carry the marking of either Hoosier or CFG on the makers mark located on the bottom of the vases.
In this listing you will receive two of these...both in excellent condition with no condition flaws noticed. They look nearly new.
